Carolyn Behrendt

Carolyn Behrendt grew up in PVE and has been a PVHA homeowner for over 15 years. She loves the unique character of the City, its architecture, landscaping, and beautiful natural setting. She has renovated a home in PVE so has interacted with the Homes Association and Art Jury. She is in favor of increasing PVHA’s outreach, services, and accountability to homeowners as they undertake to build, renovate, and maintain their homes here.

Carolyn has a PhD in epidemiology and biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University and recently retired from City of Hope Cancer Center after 16 years on the research faculty there. She is active in the community, organizing a 2026 neighborhood petition to improve wildfire defensible space on the PV Golf Course parkland. Her hobbies include gardening, Baroque music, and hiking around the Peninsula.
